18 Actions for Social Justice

Deeds of loving-kindness are equal in weight to all the commandments.
-Jerusalem Talmud, Peah 1:1

The Social Action Committee at Temple Ohabei Shalom works for tikkun olam, community engagement, and social justice through advocacy, volunteering, and direct service. Our ongoing initiatives include our GBIO partnership and volunteer opportunities for service within and outside of our congregation. All TOS, ARS, and TCEE members and families are welcome to participate in current initiatives, or suggest new opportunities and paths of action for our community. The Social Action Committee meets roughly once a month.
The Social Action Committee Board: Lori Berry, Shoma Dhar, Robin LeWinter and Jessica Ullian.

If you have specific questions, you can contact our Social Action committee at socialaction@ohabei.org.
