Mitzvah Day 2024

Come do some good on Tuesday May 28th, 4-6pm at Temple Ohabei Shalom's Community Mitzvah Day, and help us heal the world, one small act at a time.

We will gather from 4:00-6:00pm, with pizza at 6pm and clean up running until 7:30pm in Penn Spero Hall and do good for our Temple and the wider community. All ages are welcome, though we ask that all children be accompanied by an adult.

If you have any questions, please email Cassie Dezii at cdezii@ohabei.org.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are needed to help make Mitzvah Day a success. People of all ages are encouraged to participate in Mitzvah Day. Below are the different roles we're looking for. Feel free to sign up for multiple ones!
  • Set-up - Help set up prior to the event (3:00-4:00pm)
  • Check-in Table - Welcome participants and help direct people to different stations (3:45-6:00pm).
  • Station Volunteer- Manage the station set up, materials and flow of traffic, provide clear project instructions to each participant. Captains will remain at their station for the duration of Mitzvah Day. (4:00-6:00pm)
  • Clean-up - Help clean up after the dinner (6:45-7:30pm)
  • Drop-Off Drivers - Drivers wanted! Help bring our completed projects to one (or more!) of the various organizations we are supporting. Most are in/near Brookline, but we will need one volunteer to drive to the Methuen MSPCA location. If you sign up to drop-off, Leigha Cuniberti and/or Kate Murray will be in touch to discuss logistics.
