High Holy Day Volunteer Opportunities 2023

Are you a member who wants to get more involved but aren’t sure how? Would you enjoy meeting fellow congregants during the High Holy Days to wish them Shanah Tovah? If so, volunteering to be a greeter or usher might be the perfect opportunity for you!

Greeters provide a warm welcome to people as they come into services and they help introduce our guests to the TOS community. Greeters should plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to the service start time and stay for the first 30 minutes.

Ushers welcome people as they enter and remain for the full service to distribute/collect prayer books and other handouts, help people find seating, and direct traffic during the service as well as out of the sanctuary at the conclusion of the service. Ushers should plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to the service start time and stay until about 30 minutes after it ends.

If being a Greeter or Usher is not for you, we have plenty of other opportunities available. Feel free to reach out to Cassie Dezii if you have any questions.
