2024-2025 ARS Registration NEW STUDENTS

Welcome to Temple Ohabei Shalom!
We’re excited to have you enroll your student(s) in the Ansin Religious School (ARS) for 2024-2025! Please note that you must be a member in good standing of Temple Ohabei Shalom to attend ARS, meaning that you have fully paid your membership dues or are on a membership dues payment plan. The cost of ARS for TOS members is $1625 for the year.

An exception to this policy is the ARS Trial Year option which is only available for a family where the oldest student is in grade K, 1, 2, or 3. There is no membership required for the Trial Year; this rate is only good for one year. The cost of the ARS Trial Year is $2550 per student in 2024-2025. Please note that though the trial year welcomes families to join us for services and programs for Shabbat and most holidays, it does not include tickets to our High Holy Day services and programs, nor does it include clergy support for family lifecycle moments. If you anticipate wanting to join us for the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, we recommend that you simply join Temple Ohabei Shalom as members. It’s more affordable that way too! When students start in grade 4 or above, the family must join TOS as members at the Year 4 rate.

For TCEE graduates who are entering ARS Kindergarten,we also offer a special TCEE Graduate Rate of $925 for ARS tuition and $700 for synagogue membership!

ARS will meet on Tuesday afternoons in 2024-2025.
Please email ars@ohabei.org with any questions. Thank you!

Welcome! We are so happy to have you! Please also fill out this New Member Form. If you have any questions, please email Amy Deutsch.

Section B: Student Enrollment Information

Student 1 Information
Pronouns are important! Here's a helpful resource
Please note, if your student is being enrolled in 5th and 6th grade, there will be a B'nei Mitzvah fee assessed this year of $850. You will see the fee added to the bottom of the form. Payments cover the cost of our B’nei Mitzvah Experience family programming and tutoring in the 5th – 8th grade years.
Joining ARS after grade 5 will require additional private tutoring for your student to get up to speed. Please email Amy Deutsch after submitting this form so that we can work out a plan together.

ARS Trial Year Option: For a new student in grades K, 1, 2, or 3, there is an option of the ARS Trial Year so that the family can get a sense of Temple Ohabei Shalom and see if it's right for them. The cost for this is $2550, and the Trial Year does not include any of the perks of synagogue membership like High Holy Day tickets. If the student comes back to ARS after the Trial Year, the family will join as members and pay dues at the Year 1 rate.

ARS Band meets on Tuesdays after ARS from 5:45-6:30, and students can join with any instrument or voice. Band is led by Music Educator Josh Cohen.
The A/V club meets weekly, usually on Wednesday afternoons at 4:30, and Josh Cohen teaches the kids all about how to run tech for services, how to set up microphones, sound, and Zoom, and more!
